"Wheelchairs of Love" Donation Program
Donation of “Wheelchairs of Love”, as part of the public health care program, is one of the key activities to be carried out by Lawrence S. Ting Memorial Fund in 2009. The public health care program is to commemorate Mr. Tsien Peng Lun - late Chairman of CT&D Group and Phu My Hung JV Corporation. Mr. Tsien (and Mr Lawrence S. Ting), when they were still alive, led CT&D Group, Phu My Hung JV Corporation and its affiliated companies to make a lot of contributions to many charity activities in Vietnam.
The donation of wheelchairs is mainly to provide the disabled people with convenience of living, job and transportation means.
Since the beginning of 2009, Phu My Hung JV Corporation & Lawrence S. Ting Memorial Fund have donated 8,516wheelchairs with a total value of VND 10,529,910,000 to provinces of Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, Hau Giang, An Giang, Kien Giang, Dong Thap, Tay Ninh, Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, Binh Phuoc, and Phu Tho, Dak Lak, Quang Tri, Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen, Lao Cai, v.v......
In the coming time, the donation of wheelchairs would continue.

On 6th January, 2009, Lawrence S. Ting Memorial Fund donated 400 “wheelchairs of love” amounting to VND420 million to the Association for Poor Patients of Tien Giang Province.
On 12th January, 2009, Lawrence S. Ting Memorial Fund donated 122 sets of wheelchair amounting to VND128.1 million to the Fund for Dioxin Defoliant Victims and the War Veterans Association of Phu Tho Province.
On 15th January, 2009, Lawrence S. Ting Memorial Fund donated 500 wheelchairs amounting to VND525 million to the Association for Poor Patients & the Disabled of Ben Tre Province.
