FRANCO-VIETNAMESE
HOSPITAL TO START CONSTRUCTION IN APRIL

(SGT-HCMC) A project to develop the Franco-Vietnamese
Hospital (FV Hospital) in Saigon South in HCMCs District
7 will begin construction in April, Dr. Jean-Marcel Guillon,
chairman of the Far East Medical HK Ltd. (Hong Kong)
the developer, said at yesterdays inauguration of the
Far East Medical Vietnam Ltd.
The project includes developing on an area of 1.7 hectares
a 190-bed international standard hospital with diagnostic
and surgical facilities. It will have 11 operating theaters
and use the most advanced technology and latest medical equipment.
The hospital will be staffed by around 50 resident French
and Vietnamese doctors and by over 400 senior French specialists
who will come to Vietnam on a rotational basis. The project
with a total investment capital of US$32 million is expected
to be completed in June 2002.
The FV Hospital project developed by Far East Medical Vietnam
Ltd. was licensed by the Ministry of Planning and Investment
on January 19. The project has a licensed duration of 50 years.
