Established in 1989 by the HCMC People's Committee, Tan Thuan Industrial Promotion Corporation (IPC) attracts foreign investment capital for socio-economic development programs in HCMC.

IPC is currently involved in the following projects:

  • TTC - a Joint Venture Partner with CT&D Group to manage and develop Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone.

  • PMH - a joint venture company to develop the new urban area Saigon South. IPC holds a 30% interest.

  • To dredge the Nha Be and Saoi Rap rivers toward the East Sea in order to build a large seaport for vessels over 50,000 tons.

  • Establish the 2,000 ha (4,942 acre) Hiep Phuoc IZ, the first heavy industrial zone in Vietnam.

In 1997 Prime Minister Phan Van Khai awarded IPC for its contribution to Vietnam's economic development.
