A
Phased Approach
The detailed development plan
for Saigon South is implemented in phases. Priority is placed
on creating infrastructure that serves the needs of HCMC today
and tomorrow. From the earliest stages of development, investment
projects are supported by a fully integrated infrastructure
that exceeds international standards.
Infrastructure
- Traffic-free roads, reliable power and water, a flood-free
drainage system, modern telecommunications, as well as excellent
schools and recreational facilities.
-
Saigon South Parkway
- Two lanes of a 17.8 km Parkway were opened to traffic
in February 1998. An additional 2 lanes will open
in 2003.
-
First Phase Developments
- Include the 409-hectare New City Center and 115-hectare
Merchandise Center I.
-
Other Development Sites
- University Place, High-tech Center, and Merchandise
Centers II offer prime development property for a variety
of uses.
-
Comprehensive Planning
- Zoning and development guidelines ensure orderly development
and protect land values.
