      “ALCOHOLIC LIVER DISEASE” SEMINAR

In order to enhance the exchanges and medical research between the doctors and nurses in Vietnam and Cathay General Hospital in Taiwan, Lawrence S. Ting Memorial Fund invited Mr. Chih-Ming Lin, Vice Superintendent of Cathay General Hospital and Mr. Sien-Sing Yang, Director of Liver Center in Cathay General Hospital to study the hospital situation in Vietnam and talk on a specialized subject, which is related to diagnosis and therapy of alcoholic hepatitis or other liver problem issues that Vietnamese doctors and nurses are interested in.

On February 17, 2009, Lawrence S. Ting Memorial Fund and 30-4 Hospital (in Ho Chi Minh City) invited Mr. Sien-Sing Yang, Director of Liver Center in Cathay General Hospital to attend the seminar for discussion and to talk on the specialized subject. 90 doctors and nurses attended this seminar.

On February 20, 2009, Lawrence S. Ting Memorial Fund and 19-8 Hospital (in Hanoi) also invited Mr. Sien-Sing Yang, Director of Liver Center in Cathay General Hospital to attend the seminar for discussion and to talk on the specialized subject. 120 doctors and nurses attended this seminar.

The seminar on medical issues was (as part of a program) to commemorate Mr. Tsien Peng Lun, late Chairman of CT&D Group and Phu My Hung JV Corporation.

Mr. Tsien ,when he was still alive, paid much attention to people’s health preservation, periodically reminded everybody to concern his/her and his/her friends’ and relatives’ health and hoped everybody can live a healthy and happy life accordingly.
